FAQ

What is a Domain Name?
A domain name uniquely identifies a website. Typing a domain name (also called a URL) into your browser allows you to visit that site. One unique domain name can be used as a company’s web address, its email addresses, and as a handle for its social media presence. Domains are much more than just names typed into a web browser. Your domain name is how the world will think of you and your business. It’s part of your brand and your marketing plan. You can have multiple domains that each relate to some aspect of your business. A domain should be easy to remember and help establish you on the web.

What are Premium Domains?
Higher-quality domain names are called Premium Domains. These domains are also often referred to as aftermarket domains, secondary market domains, high-value domains, great domains, or top domains. These domains have all been previously registered, often because they are popular words or are thought to have great potential for becoming a memorable web address. Premium domains have stronger branding potential, are easier to remember, and attract more traffic than most domains available through a standard domain registration.

How Can I Search For The Perfect Premium Domain?
Email us at sales@keendomains.com or contact us directly for information regarding the domain names in our portfolio.

Will I Own The Domain?
Yes, once any domain name is purchased, it will be transferred to your name and you will have FULL CONTROL. Once in your possession, we will not able to edit the domain afterward. After you’ve purchased the domain, you can do anything you want with it.

Does Anything Come With The Domain?
No. No logos, graphics, text, or anything else that is currently associated with the domain you want to buy comes with it. You are buying the domain name only! No hosting, email, or other services will be provided by Keen Domains.

How Can Payment Be Made?
We currently work with Escrow.com and Epik.com with the buyer paying the escrow fees. Please visit Payment for more information.

What Is The Transfer Process?
After we’ve received notification of your payment via our intermediaries we will verify the purchase you have made and begin the process to transfer the domain into your own account. Since domain transfers are a manual process, it usually takes 3-7 business days to complete. Once complete, we will contact you via email with the transfer instructions to take control of your new domain. Once you have control you may move the domain to a registrar of your choosing.

It Has Been Several Days Since My Purchase. Why Have I Not Received Anything Yet?
You should receive a purchase confirmation notification from us soon after you make your purchase. Within 3-7 business days, you will receive your transfer instructions. If you have received neither, check your email spam folder as your security settings may have filtered the messages. If any message from Keen Domains is not in your spam, please contact us immediately at sales@keendomains.com so we can assist.

For How Long Should I Register My Domains?
You should keep your registration good for at least 1 year. Domains have yearly renewal fees – and we strongly advise you to renew your domain every year. Once you have purchased the domain from us, this renewal will be through your current registrar. Price varies depending on the registrar, but typically the registration renewal costs around $10.00 per year.

How Long Does it Take For The New Ownership to Show Up on The WHOIS Record?
Typically, Whois data updates are instantaneous – though different registrars are faster than others. Usually, your Whois information will be updated within two days.

Sales of Domain Names
All sales are subject to the final approval of KeenDomains.com and we reserve the right to cancel any order at any time during the purchase process for any reason. If payment has been rendered, you will receive a full refund in the event of a cancellation. Once the purchased domain name has been transferred into your name, the name is in your possession and the sale is considered final. A transaction cannot be canceled anytime after the domain transfer has occurred.
